The Wife of Bath's Tale
This story starts out with a knight going on quest and he took a woman by force. the punishment normally would be to behead the man, but the queen begged the king to let the knight be his, to kill or save. she got her wish and she said she will let him live if he could find out what it was that woman wanted the most. The knight set out and found a old woman and she said "i will tell you most what women want if you do me a favor if the answer is correct, he agreed and brought the answer to the queen. The answer was that woman want to govern over their own husbands, and he was right, he returned to the old woman and said what do you want from me, she said she want him to be her husband he wanted anything but that, but in the end, he was a man of his word and he was unpleased, and by the end of the story, she teaches the man a lesson to let the woman govern over the man, he said to her do as you please be this or that and she became young and his faithful and lovable wife.
New Begginings, Redemption
These Stories focus on how how destroyed and created everything, I see Noah as the hero and god as a helping character. In the story of The Flood, god is unappeased with man and decides to destroy everything, but god decides that there is a family that lives through his way. He then asks them to build a huge arch and then bring 2 of each animal along. The moral of this story I feel is that as long as you are good you will be given many second chances.
In the second story is a tower of babel which stuck me as a purposefully made it hard for people to understand each other so that we do not have everything in our possession.
Abraham and Isaac story stuck me as weird because god asked a man to basically chose between his son or his loyalty and his loyalty to go gave him his son. to me the moral of this story was that find where your loyalty is and then with your strong trust you will be saved by it.
